Fnjóská - Bleiksmýrardalur (Arctic Char)
Bleiksmýrardalur is the uppermost fishing area of Fnjóská and begins where the river enters the long, remote valley where it has its source. Fnjóská follows Bleiksmýrardalur, the westernmost side valley of Fnjóskadalur, and rises in Bleiksmýrardrög.
The area is primarily a trout fishing area, where the surroundings are wide open, peaceful and remote, making the area ideal for those looking for light and relaxed fly-fishing in beautiful nature.
The fishing season runs from 20 July to 31 August. Two rods are sold for full days only, and both rods must be purchased together.
Rules
Fly-fishing only, using fly rods. All salmon, Arctic char and sea trout must be released. Anglers are allowed to keep resident brown trout.
Fishing hours are flexible, but limited to 12 hours between 07:00 and 00:00 on the day of fishing.
Accommodation
No accommodation or fishing lodge is included with permits for the Bleiksmýrardalur beat.
